Seeking through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact.
“We shouldn’t be shy on this matter of prayer. ... It works, if we have the proper attitude and work at it.” (Pg.85-86)
A "proper attitude" means we “sweep away prejudice and think honestly, to encourage diligent self-reflection.”
When we retire at night, we “constructively review our day” by asking:
"We thank God for His grace and ask for forgiveness, then consider what corrective measures should be taken."
Before we begin our day, we “ask God to direct our thinking,” specifically requesting that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest, or self-seeking motives (Pg.86).
Pause peacefully with controlled breathing while repeating this mantra:
(Slow Inhale)
"God is in Me..."
(Inhale more)
"Like the Ocean..."
(Long Exhale)
"...is in a Wave."
